About ME…

Hello,

My name is Payoja Mabbu and I’m a 15-year-old rising junior at Issaquah High School in Washington State. I created this website to express my concerns and to raise awareness about key issues that I care about as well as talk about what I enjoy doing whether it is one of my hobbies or something I’m passionate about expressing to my readers.

However, I am a 15-year-old adolescent with developing writing skills, thus writing on this website on a regular basis will help me excel in my writing abilities. So, ideally, by the time I finish updating this page for good, people will be able to see how far my writing talents have progressed.

EARLY LIFE…

I am an immigrant. I relocated from Hyderabad, India to Seattle, Washington at the ripe young age of 7. But as I have noticed over the past 7 years of my life in America, my Indian roots have grown stronger than before, in a way where I’m hyperaware of the American ideologies that are creeping up on my life. The one thing that will never change from the Indian side of my life will be the culture that has shaped me to be the person I am today.

AS FOR THE ISSUES I WILL BE DISCUSSING…

The part of me that has been shaped by my culture gave me grit and a will to advocate for people who are unable to advocate for themselves or need help advocating for themselves. As a result, this is why I started this whole affair. I hope you find this site useful, and if you don’t agree with these issues, I hope you see the other side of the story and reconsider your position.

Passions

Reading.
There is a reason this is on the top of the list of my passions. Reading is my livelihood, it saved me and brought me back to life when I was going through lots of things. I don’t think I would be the person I am today if books weren’t something I turned to years ago.

Sharing my opinions about important issues prominent in our world.

Working to make myself better.
Throughout my high school career, I have constantly tried to better myself and to help the community as much as possible, whether it is volunteering at my local temple, serving food, or studying and not procrastinating for a big exam.
